Zurich, 11 April 2012 – Peach Property Group AG, a leading developer of high-value residential property in German-speaking Europe, announces the following internal management changes: Ruedi Adler (61), Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and a member of executive management of Peach Property Group for close to five years, has decided to hand over the operational role of CFO to fellow management member Dr. Marcel Kucher with effect from 15 April 2012. Ruedi Adler is taking on a new role and will continue to serve the company as Senior Advisor Group Controlling and member of the extended executive management.
Dr. Marcel Kucher (40), Chief Information Officer of Peach Property Group since September 2011, is assuming the role of Chief Financial Officer from Ruedi Adler. Marcel Kucher has made a name for himself within the Group with a number of projects designed to increase efficiency and automate core processes, including the introduction of a Group-wide Customer Relationship Management system. He will remain in charge of these projects. Prior to joining Peach Property Group, Marcel Kucher was involved in building up the international operations of consultancy company a-connect over a period of five years in his capacity as CFO. Among his management tasks, he oversaw the adoption of IFRS as accounting standard and the global rollout of an SAP-based information system. Marcel Kucher began his career with Credit Suisse and McKinsey & Company. He studied economics at the University of Zurich and the London School of Economics and holds a PhD.
With effect from the same date, Denise Gull (34) has been appointed new Head of Group Accounting. She joined Peach Property Group in 2010 and has been instrumental in assuring the quality of accounting, consolidation and reporting following the Group’s IPO. Before that, Denise Gull was a lead auditor and accountant with KPMG. She has a degree in economics from the University of Zurich. In establishing this new role, Peach Property Group is placing a stronger focus on building up its management information system (MIS) as well as on internal and external financial transparency.
By broadening the financial management team, Peach Property Group is creating an optimal base for further growth, while retaining the available wealth of expertise and experience. According to Peach Property Group CEO Dr. Thomas Wolfensberger: “The newly designated responsibilities within the finance area signify a strengthening of our central functions. As CFO of Peach Property Group, Ruedi Adler has done an outstanding job over a period spanning almost five years. He will now concentrate on questions revolving around Group Controlling. In Marcel Kucher we have found an experienced manager with strong leadership skills from among our own ranks to take on the role of Chief Financial Officer.
